Agreement In Principle 2006

The Agreement is Principle is the result of four years of negotiation between the Ngati Whatua O Orakei Maori Trust Board and the Crown.
It represents the parties intention to settle the Wai 388 claim.
The Agreement in Principle comprises 70 paragraphs spread over 23 pages.
The first dozen paragraphs outline the negotiations to date and the nature and scope of the Crowns offer to settle the historical Claims.
The Crown also acknowledges that the Agreed Historical Account forms the basis of their offer.
