King Tuheitia Visits Orakei
Our relationship with Waikato and the Kingitanga goes back to at least the nineteenth century.
Alongside our strong whakapapa links, important relationships were built between Potatau and Apihai Te Kawau, Paora Tuhaere and Tawhiao, our kaumatua and Te Puea during the 1950s eviction and more recently ourselves and Te Atairangikahu during the late 1970s eviction.
