Future Director – Whai Rawa
Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa Limited (Whai Rawa) is seeking applications for a Future Director.
The Future Director programme is intended to build the future leadership of the hapū, provide governance experience and training for younger people through exposure to the boardroom environment and create a greater talent pool of knowledge and skills among the hapū.
The Future Director will be exposed to the boardroom environment, will attend all Whai Rawa Board meetings and be treated as a board member and participate in board matters. The future director will be assigned an experienced mentor from the Whai Rawa Board to support her or his growth and development. The Future Director will not have voting rights and will not form part of the quorum of a board meeting.
Tenure is for 2 years and there are attendance fees associated with the role.
Candidates must be registered members of the hapū, under 35 years of age (ideally) and demonstrate that they:
➡ have strong existing or potential business and commercial skills;
➡ are committed to contributing to the development of a positive Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei future;
➡ are committed to understanding the history and culture of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.
The application process will involve candidates completing a written application form and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed.
