Congratulations to Amber Parata, winning second place in the competition.

A special thank you to our judge John Miller, a legendary photographer who, since the 1960's, has captured and shared with the world powerful and momentous events in the struggle for peace.

Such events include anti-Vietnam War and anti-South African sports tour movements and the first Waitangi protests before moving to record the historical Land March and Bastion Point Occupation.

In 2003 Miller received a Media Peace Prize Lifetime Award in recognition of his photography and its role in helping to promote peace.
